
Diāna Meiere
Deputy Director for Development at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History; Chair of the Board of the Latvian Mycological Society
After graduating from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Latvia, she has held various positions at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History. She combines her professional work with a lasting fascination for fungi — their study and their many creative uses. At present she is building a collection of yarn samples dyed with fungi and lichens, experimenting with fungal papermaking, using fungal pigments for drawing, and pursuing other related practices. She is one of the founders of the Latvian Mycological Society and chairs its board.
